Muita enrolação, pra uma técnica que já é simples。

The technique implies a concept of "time" and rules to complete activities within that concept。 I assert that frequent practice of Pomodoro can help with productivity and freedom of mind because this methodology is really solid。 The technique implies a concept of "time" and rules to complete activities within that concept。 I assert that frequent practice of Pomodoro can help with productivity and freedom of mind because this methodology is really solid。 。。。more

How can you work smarter? Through good planning and time chunking according to the Pomodoro Technique。 If you plan to work for 25 minutes at a time with breaks of 3-5 minutes, Cirillo promises that you will be able to move mountains。 This book apparently adds on sections for teams。 This was originally published online so you can find it and the planning for it in various places but this book does set out some more rules。It's an interesting idea but I think you need more self-discipline than I ha How can you work smarter? I'm not a native speaker so it took 4 Pomodoros to me to finish this book。 Of course as an individual I didn't dive deep into the Team part but other parts I've read thoroughly。 As for me one shouldn't perceive the Pomodoro method as an revelation。 It's just small and simple yet the effective time management technique。 But what is brilliant is that one doesn't need a lot of time to try it in action。 One day to read, another one to apply。 And it's better to give some time to grow crops before mak I'm not a native speaker so it took 4 Pomodoros to me to finish this book。 Of course as an individual I didn't dive deep into the Team part but other parts I've read thoroughly。 As for me one shouldn't perceive the Pomodoro method as an revelation。 It's just small and simple yet the effective time management technique。 But what is brilliant is that one doesn't need a lot of time to try it in action。 One day to read, another one to apply。 And it's better to give some time to grow crops before making a conclusion。 Right now it's my second day with the Pomodoro Technique but I can clearly see that I became more focused on my tasks and less frustrated。 The main problem that I see is my own inner level of procrastination that I tend to count as natural level for every individual and it's almost impossible to change it forever。 。。。more

I love the Pomodoro technique, it has really improved my workflow and productivity。 I listened to this book on audible for insight into the technique。

Great book about Pomodoro technique, but it too rambling about detail, can be skimmed。

Daria

I appreciate the technique, but the book itself was an incredibly dull read。 Furthermore, if you are familiar with scrum and other agile working principles (granted these came later than the publishing of this book) you might not learn that much。

The concept of the pomodoro is so important to me as I lack focus at work during the pandemic/work from home life。 However, this book could have been about 40 pages shorter and laid out way better than it was。

I found this book in a discount bin at a Christian bookstore (Mardel's)。 So, it was an odd find, but I was familiar with the technique。 I've run across the concept of using a timer for 25-minute intervals, with 5-minute breaks, and then a 30-minute break after 4 sets。 What I didn't realize was how one could forecast with your to-do list the number of sets (or "pomodoros") necessary and how that would help you anticipate how much your tasks would really take。 I found the first part of the book to I found this book in a discount bin at a Christian bookstore (Mardel's)。 So, it was an odd find, but I was familiar with the technique。 I've run across the concept of using a timer for 25-minute intervals, with 5-minute breaks, and then a 30-minute break after 4 sets。 What I didn't realize was how one could forecast with your to-do list the number of sets (or "pomodoros") necessary and how that would help you anticipate how much your tasks would really take。 I found the first part of the book to be instructive, but the second section about how to incorporate with teams seems a little too ideal, especially in a work environment with meetings and frequent interactions。 I think the Pomodoro technique works well for people who have few interruptions and are wanting to pace themselves。 Definitely recommend it as a bargain-priced book (although you could find a similar deep dive on the internet) -- just not enough content to justify a $20 hardback price。 。。。more

The technique sounds good and efficiency, the book however is too repetitive。 I will apply this technique to my daily routine and, if it works, I come back here and enhance my review。

Z mého pohledu naprosto ideální kniha。 Jasný, stručný návod, jak k technice přistupovat。 A myslím, že i pokud byste samotnou techniku nechtěli posléze aplikovat, lze si z toho vzít pár užitečných rad/tipů。 Myslím, že malý formát knihy přesně odpovídá jejímu využití - knihu jsem hodila do malé kapsy v batohu, psala si do ní tužkou a překlápěla rohy stránek, protože jsem cítila, že by si to přesně takto autor přál, spíš než úzkostný strach o její poškození。
